This simulation is intended to help you develop fundamental skills and confidence when communicating with a pediatric patient. The scenario will allow you to make critical decisions about appropriate communication when interacting with a pediatric patient.

- Describe effective therapeutic communication strategies when assessing and providing treatment to a pediatric patient.
- Adapt communication strategies to meet the pediatric patient’s level of understanding and emotional state.
- Identify distractions that could influence effective communication with a pediatric patient.
