Participants will be encouraged to enhance their understanding of how and when to initiate non-invasive ventilation (NIV) and how to properly assess the effectiveness of the NIV implementation.  

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this scenario, participants will be able to:

  • Advocate for best practice treatment in the context of respiratory distress
  • Select initial settings for NIV to align with patient status
  • Identify appropriate reassessment criteria after implementation of NIV
