Identify a patient requiring basic life support, perform high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and collaborate with the health care team.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Provide patient-centered care incorporating the principles of culturally sensitive care.
  2. Recognize a cardiac arrest and activate the emergency response system early.
  3. Perform high-quality single-rescuer CPR and multi-rescuer team CPR.
  4. Communicate effectively with the members of the care team (using SBAR) to promote effective decision-making.

Virtual gaming simulation / virtual patient

Evalution/Validation:

This simulation’s scenario and script were formally peer-reviewed by two external institutions, then the final simulation was pilot tested by several students on a student testing committee then as part of the Virtu-WIL Student Program’s rollout.
