A Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) is preparing to conduct an informal workplace inspection as part of the laboratory’s safety program.

- Recognize unsafe work situations and practices.
- Identify and assess safety hazards and risks.
- Select appropriate controls to mitigate safety risks and hazards.
- Identify situations where there is a safety concern and advocate for worker safety.
