In this scenario, EMS must respond to a call for a person who is having a seizure. The patient has a history of alcohol and drug use complicating the emergency.

Learning Objectives:

Identify and prioritize your assessment and interventions for a seizing patient.

Articulate the desired outcomes for the patient.

Practice your communication skills.

Simulation Modality:

Virtual gaming simulation / virtual patient

Evalution/Validation:

This simulation’s scenario and script were formally peer-reviewed by two external institutions, then the final simulation was pilot tested by several students on a student testing committee then as part of the Virtu-WIL Student Program’s rollout.
