This scenario offers a detailed, interactive simulation that mimics the process of interacting with a patient within the context of a scrotal ultrasound. Students navigate through different stages of the procedure including pre- and post-procedure communication and actions. The simulation platform tracks their actions, offers real-time feedback, and assesses their performance based on accuracy in communication and patient care.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this simulation, you will be able to:

  1. Outline effective communication strategies when performing the scrotal ultrasound

  2. Obtain a relevant medical history

  3. Critically assess situations that present unique considerations for students when performing scrotal ultrasound.

  4. Analyze patient care techniques for scrotal sonography related to patient preparation, setup, and maintaining patient modesty throughout the examination

Simulation Modality:

Virtual gaming simulation / virtual patient
