The patient is 55 years old. They came into the clinic for a checkup stating “I have not been feeling myself lately, and I wanted to get checked”. The patient requires a focused neurological assessment.

Learning Objectives:

Demonstrate accurate focused neurological assessment by collecting subjective and objective data.

Prioritize neurological assessment sequencing and effectively communicate with the client.

Interpret findings from the physical assessment and communicate findings that require immediate reporting.

Develop two nursing findings diagnoses based on assessment findings.

Simulation Modality:

Virtual gaming simulation / virtual patient

Evalution/Validation:

This simulation’s scenario and script were formally peer-reviewed by two external institutions, then the final simulation was pilot tested by several students on a student testing committee then as part of the Virtu-WIL Student Program’s rollout.
