You are the nurse in the department of medicine at the Hospital Center in your region. It is 10:20 am, the emergency will transfer an 83-year-old lady, Mrs Aurore Morin,  who will be followed by Dr. Annie Castonguay (geriatrician) for investigation into the loss of autonomy and possible recent cognitive impairment.  Her daughter accompanies her.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Conduct comprehensive data collection (subjective and objective) and necessary physical examinations when admitting a person to a medical department.
  2. Analyze the data collected and use relevant clinical tools (e.g. Folstein, Moca, neurological assessment…).
  3. Synthesize all the information in order to transmit a report during the change of team in light of the data collected
