The patient was arriving at home when they suddenly started with respiratory distress.

Learning Objectives:

Use the information from the prehospital assessment to reach a working diagnosis of asthma.

Select and prioritize appropriate treatments into a specific management plan.

Virtual gaming simulation / virtual patient

Evalution/Validation:

This simulation’s scenario and script were formally peer-reviewed by two external institutions, then the final simulation was pilot tested by several students on a student testing committee then as part of the Virtu-WIL Student Program’s rollout.
