Mrs. Claudine Jones, 50 years old, is presently at the oncology unit for post-operative care. She has just undergone a modified radical mastectomy on her left breast with ganglion resection. She has been in the recovery room for 45 minutes. According to the attending nurse’s report, the surgery went as planned and without complications, and the nurse’s follow-up confirms that everything is normal.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Choose the appropriate PRN medication for the person’s current situation.
  2. Perform the monitoring required by the administration of PRN and regular medication.

Simulation Modality:

Extended reality (virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality)

Evalution/Validation:

This simulation’s scenario and script were formally peer-reviewed by two external institutions, then the final simulation was pilot tested by several students on a student testing committee then as part of the Virtu-WIL Student Program’s rollout.
