The new Confederation College Regional Education Alliance for Community Health (REACH) Centre officially opened in the fall of 2011. This 50,000 sq. foot centre has been made possible through support by the provincial government and federal government as a Knowledge Infrastructure Project.
This state-of-the-art facility houses new learning environments for all college health and community services programs. Health-related programs now have access to fully-equipped simulation labs, simulation suites with adjoining debriefing rooms, open patient ward labs equipped with laptop computers for access to EMRs, a fully functioning apartment, as well as paramedic medical radiation, medical laboratory and dental labs. All of these settings are outfitted with 5 million dollars of high-tech equipment, including high-fidelity manikins and videoconferencing and recording systems enabling linkages with regional campus sites.
