Pre-hospital incident of a male patient having chest pain, with shortness of breath, collapsed into a sudden cardiac arrest. Pre-hospital ACLS protocals followed causes a return of spontanious circulation. For arrest care provided and transport to ER.

Simulation Modality:

Manikin-based, Moulage, Standardized/simulated patients or real patients

Equipment:

High fidelity simulator, HAL, ems model from Gaumard Scientific

Evalution/Validation:

This scenario has been used in 2nd year paramedic student post didactic education of medical directives with cardiac arrest.  Our time limit was 12 to 14 minutes but in future we will use 15 to 18 to ensure adequate time for treatment.
