A 39-year-old woman comes to hospital for day surgery. Induction of anesthesia goes smoothly. There is then a handover of RNs and anesthesia to a new team. The patient becomes tachycardic wth a rise in CO2 and body temperature which the team must recognize and manage.

1. Recognise cluster of clinical features consistent with MH
2. Distinguish MH from equipment causes with similar manifestation
3. Experience the preparation and administration of dantrolene
4. Describe site-specific processes for summoning emergency help
5. Describe some key components of clinical teamwork and identify applications in their practice

1. Review contents of emergency ‚’MH‚Äô cart
2. Identify methods of improvement of non- technical skills/behavioral skills
