Congratulations Pam Jeffries!

Simulation leader named Dean of George Washington University’s School of Nursing
SIM-one would like to congratulate simulation leader Pamela Jeffries for her new role as Dean of George Washington (GW) University’s School of Nursing.
Jeffries has an extensive and accomplished record. She is immediate past-president of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. She has consulted for national regulatory bodies such as the National Council State Board of Nursing (NCSBN), where she co-authored the http://www.sim-one.ca/community/news/ncsbn-releases-landmark-simulation-… target=”_blank”>National Simulation Study. Jeffries has also published scores of peer-reviewed articles and numerous books. Earlier in her career, she assisted in the design of a state-of-the-art medical simulation centre at Indiana University.
“Pam Jeffries is a recognized leader and innovator in the field of healthcare simulation,” said Dr. Tim Willett, Director of Research & Development at SIM-one—Ontario Simulation Network. “Pam has been at the forefront of many transformational initiatives, including—most recently—her leading role in the landmark National Simulation Study. Pam will be a great addition to George Washington University and the entire SIM-one team wishes her the very best.”
SIM-one has had the pleasure of collaborating with Jeffries on many occasions. Jeffries was the keynote speaker at the SIM-one-sponsored http://www.sim-one.ca/community/news/dr-pam-jeffries-presents-caats-symp… target=”_blank”>2014 CAATS Symposium at Conestoga College. She was also a presenter on a SIM-one-hosted http://www.sim-one.ca/community/news/sim-one-host-online-presentation-nc… target=”_blank”>webinar about the National Simulation Study and its implications in healthcare education.
Jeffries will begin her new role as Dean of Nursing at GW University on April 6, 2015.
