Transfusion Medicine is more than packed red blood cells. During this simulation, participants will select and prepare products as requested.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Select the correct blood product for the clinical situation
  2. Perform proper documentation
  3. Prepare products
  4. Prioritize workload in the Transfusion department

Simulation Modality:

Virtual gaming simulation / virtual patient

Evalution/Validation:

This simulation’s scenario and script were formally peer-reviewed by two external institutions, then the final simulation was pilot tested by several students on a student testing committee then as part of the Virtu-WIL Student Program’s rollout.
