The School of Health and Human Services at Camosun College runs a variety of simulation-based learning activities supporting student learning in more than a dozen programs. Simulation spaces in the Centre for Health and Wellness are uniquely designed to support learning for students in each program.
The fourth floor of the CHW features four high-fidelity simulation rooms, a fully equipped apartment/community care lab and a multipurpose room, all with attached control rooms and dedicated to use with human patient simulators and/or Standardized Patients. There are also three observation/debrief rooms, a student practice lab and 10 ward rooms. Audiovisual equipment including SimCapture software is available to effectively manage, record, debrief and assess simulations.
