This simulation will be examining the hours leading up to a Medical Assistance in Dying procedure within an acute care setting. Within the scenario, you will be playing the role of the nurse (Julie) and working with your patient Anna, and her family.

Pediatric patient at home in respiratory distress. Paramedics will be dispatched, arrive on the scene and transport patient to the hospital. In hospital, paramedics will give report to an RN and RT. RT will provide medication (puffer) education to patient and caregiver to support disease management.
