The Clinical Simulation Centre, housed in the New Medical Building at Queen’s University, houses 8,000 square feet of clinical simulation space including:
Four simulation labs for high fidelity manikin scenarios, including a complete operating room, obstetric delivery room and two emergency rooms
Two large surgical skills labs for partial trainers and virtual reality-style simulators
Four debriefing classrooms linked to the simulation labs by one-way mirrors
We support a model of interprofessional education and offer many programs where medical students, residents, nursing students and rehabilitation therapy students learn together in preparation for cooperative clinical duties which strengthen team building skills.
