The University of Toronto Surgical Skills Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital provides a laboratory setting where basic and complex surgical procedures can be learned and practiced. Surgeons will achieve a higher level of expertise more rapidly in a laboratory setting, where they can employ educational principles of repeated practice with feedback.
